What inspired Hood Closet
Well, let me start by introducing myself, my name is Frank Leanos, I grew up in the streets of San Gabriel Valley, where I took it day by day, from hustling, grinding, banging, just straight being hood, it wasn’t a choice of life but it was the life I knew, the hood life.
In 2007, I was 21 and decided it was time to leave the nest, reality hit real quick when I realized that due to finances, I couldn’t stay in the hood, so I decided to branch out and see what else is out there. I ended up in the High Desert, a place called Hesperia to be exact, a distance from my hood but affordable.
As I got use to a different hood life, away from my hood, I was still myself. You would still find me at the local mini mall (indoor swap meet) getting all my gear staying hood, it wasn’t too bad but in late 2013 I caught wind of the local mini mall planning to close and the first thing that came to mind was… “Were do I get my hood gear at” Then it hit me…
How many people move out of their hood and are forced to dress as something they’re not just because the local store doesn’t carry hood apparel? That’s where Hood Closet comes in. No matter where you move or where you go, you can take your closet with you… the Hood Closet that is.
Committed to the Hood since 2013
Thanks for Supporting Hood Closet
